So many people waiting. Breaths held. Lives on hold. And the not knowing. The uncertainty about whether the waiting is worthwhile.

Sorry to make you wait for this

Yes, a lot of our lives are spent like this.
You think I'd be used to it by now wouldn't you? (LOL)

That's a lovely thought.
I remember when I used to wait by the phone for the special man of the moment to phone me & all I could focus on was that!
Soon gave that up though

Waiting prevails in any occasion of our life, it required our patience and tolerance and even wisdom. In our love, we have to wait our lover's reponse when confide to them, in the job hunting, wait after send job letter, in the way to back home, wait in the queue. So it does'nt mean low efficiency in any sense, but carfulness and understanding.

You are very wise in what you write.
I will remember your phrase "carefulness and understanding" when I find myself waiting again.
Thank you

We don't wait,if not for a sense of hope, faith or confidence however vague, lurking at the back of it all.
It has got these inexpressible vibes defying logic.
Maybe its instinct or maybe intuition.. Can't help being abstract.A rich vague sense of feeling, whispering, "never mind it will all be fine".-

Mmmm, I love what you wrote, thank you.
It reminded me of:
'Hope ever urges on and tells us tomorrow will be better.'
(paraphrased & I think by Marcus Aurelius- I'm hopeless at quotes)-

So am i. My active memory is pretty lost, i don't even remember most of what i say, leave alone what others quote.
Never mind the words,
As long as the feeling is fine, rich and lush..

Yes, thank you for that, it does depend on how we approach waiting as to how we experience it.
Look forward to reading your comments in HopeChild1
